Trainers for professionals to support children in preparation for leaving alternative care

The training course is aimed at supporting professionals who work with children in alternative care and prepare them for independent life, as well as the professionals who would like to conduct training to other professionals on preparation for leaving care.

The manual is developed within the EU-funded project “OUTogether – promoting children’s autonomy on alternative care”.

The training program contains 5 modules :  

Module 1 Introduction to the training process

Module 2 Group and group process

Module 3 OUTogether Pathways Tool

Module 4 Autonomy development

Module 5 Education for citizenship and proactivity

Each module ends with a test for self-assessment of the acquired competencies. The training course ends with a Questionnaire for assessment of satisfaction and achieving results.  

The program provides general and specific information. The general information is about how trainers can develop their learning goals and how to achieve them; how to define their work tasks as a trainer and facilitator, what are the main interactive methods for group work and how to use them; how to carry out the preparation and implement the training session. The specific information focuses on key aspects of support children for leaving care with the OUTogether Pathways Tool, autonomy development and education for citizenship and proactivity.
